This gambeson features strap-and-buckle front closures and is made from strong, heavy-duty padded canvas. It absorbs impact well when worn on its own and offers extra protection against cuts when worn under chainmail or plate armor.
The open armpit design allows better movement and flexibility, making it comfortable for extended wear. It provides good protection, though it is slightly less padded than the GDFB version.
